About the company

The HALO Chip is building an implantable GPS microchip for dogs: small, low-power, and placed by a veterinary team, so owners can find a lost dog. We're a founding-stage team moving fast to build our first hardware and get it in front of customers. We're looking for early teammates who want real ownership, not just a seat on a big team.

About the role

We're looking for an Animal Study Coordinator to run our veterinary trials day to day. You'll work closely with our partners at Langston University on livestock studies and with partner clinics on companion dog studies, making sure every study follows its protocol, every animal is cared for, and every result is recorded accurately. You'll be the person who keeps the studies moving: scheduling, site visits, data collection and clear reporting back to our regulatory and veterinary team. It's a great fit for someone with an animal science, vet tech or research background who is organized, calm around animals and wants to help bring a new kind of pet safety product to market.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate livestock trials with our research partners at Langston University
  • Coordinate companion dog trials with partner veterinary clinics
  • Make sure every study follows its approved protocol and animal welfare requirements
  • Schedule study visits, check-ins and follow-ups, and keep every site on track
  • Collect, organize and quality-check study data and records
  • Report progress and findings to our regulatory lead and veterinary advisor

What we're looking for

Must have
  • A degree in animal science, biology, veterinary technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience working with animals in a research, clinical or farm setting
  • Highly organized, with careful attention to detail in records and data
  • Comfortable traveling between study sites in Oklahoma and Texas and working on location with animals
Nice to have
  • Experience coordinating research studies or clinical trials
  • Familiarity with IACUC protocols or Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
  • Credentialed veterinary technician
Why this role matters

These studies are how we show vets and owners that the HALO chip is safe and does what we say. Careful, honest study work is what earns that trust.

Compensation

$55,000 to $70,000 a year, depending on experience. Travel between study sites is covered.
