About the company

The HALO Chip is building an implantable GPS microchip for dogs: small, low-power, and placed by a veterinary team, so owners can find a lost dog. We're a founding-stage team moving fast to build our first hardware and get it in front of customers. We're looking for early teammates who want real ownership, not just a seat on a big team.

About the role

We're looking for a Social Media Intern to help grow The HALO Chip's presence on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X. You'll plan and post content, film and edit short videos, write captions, and keep up with what dog owners are talking about. The role is mostly remote, with in-person days for events. You'll work directly with the founder and see your ideas go live quickly. It's a great fit for a student or recent grad who loves dogs, lives on social media, and wants real experience at an early-stage startup.

What you'll do

• Plan, create and schedule posts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X
• Film and edit short-form videos and Reels
• Write captions that sound like us: warm, clear and never pushy
• Reply to comments and messages and help grow our community
• Track what's working and share simple weekly results
• Bring fresh ideas for trends, series and partnerships with dog creators
• Capture content in person at events when we need you there

What we're looking for

• Strong sense of what works on social media, especially short-form video
• Comfortable filming and editing on your phone (CapCut or similar)
• Clear, friendly writing
• Reliable and self-motivated working remotely, and able to attend events in person when needed

• A portfolio, personal account or past work you're proud of
• Experience with Canva or Adobe tools
• You have a dog (or know a lot of them)

Compensation

$21 an hour. We'll share hours and details in the first conversation.
